Hammira Sisodiya
(?-1364)
   He belonged to the Sisodiya branch of the Guhila ruling family of Mewar. After Chitor was oc-cupied by 'Ala al-Din Khalji (1296-1316), Hammira and his Sisodiya followers organized resistance to force the installation of a scion of the Guhila ruling family but who was soon overthrown. In 1326, Hammira seized power at Chitor. He ruled over Mewar until 1364. Latter rulers of Mewar traced their ancestry through him.
